Psychology

Psychological therapy can be for everyone.

Connection with another is one of our most powerful needs. Therapy provides you with the opportunity to develop that connection in a safe, respectful, non-judgemental environment. To be listened to and understood is at the heart of therapy.

Psychological therapy will provide you with the tools to be curious about your own circumstances, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. In developing a greater “knowing” about yourself, you are more able to take charge of your circumstances and create the change you desire.

Some of the reasons people attend therapy are:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Grief
  • Interpersonal issues
  • Self-esteem

And sometimes you just want someone to talk to that isn’t a friend or family member.

Any and all reasons for attending therapy are good reasons.

Together with your therapist you will develop well-defined goals for therapy which you will work towards using a range of techniques (as described in the “Techniques” section).
