About Me

I completed my Masters of Clinical Psychology at UWA in 2003 and I have over 12 years’ experience working with adults in a private practice setting.

When you attend therapy with me you will be provided with a respectful, supportive and non-judgemental space. I maintain an open-curiosity with you and address your current concerns while keeping a focus on underlying issues and past life experiences that may be impacting your current situation.

I take a holistic approach to mental health. As human beings we are a complex and intricate set of parts (physical, mental, spiritual) that need to work together in order for us to obtain true health and happiness. As a consequence, I oftentimes address physical health (for example sleep, nutrition, exercise) in order to obtain a complete and comprehensive picture. I believe that by including all aspects of your lifestyle in therapy we are able to gain a greater understanding of your circumstances and how best to achieve your goals.

To help you reach your goals I use a range of evidence-based psychological therapies. The therapy that is best suited to you will be dependent on your unique situation and your therapeutic goals.

An example of the therapies
I use are:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Mindfulness
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

I am passionate about and have considerable experience helping people with issues such as:

Mood and anxiety disorders
Stress and adjustment issues
Self-esteem and self-worth
Family of origin issues
Interpersonal difficulties
Existential issues and general dissatisfaction
Grief and loss

As therapist and client, we sit “side by side” to work together to achieve your desired outcome.

My goal as your therapist is to empower you with techniques to help you master your life, overcome your challenges and live the life you want.
